The Brooklyn Public Library allows the use of designated library meeting rooms by individuals and groups for civic, cultural, educational, philanthropic, and recreational purposes. Use is granted on equal terms to all individuals and groups provided that meetings are open to all members of the general public without charge.

• Library meeting rooms may not be used for entrepreneurial or commercial purposes, for the solicitation of business, or for non-library- related fundraising.
• Library meeting rooms may not be used for religious services.
• Library meeting rooms may not be used for any illegal purposes.
• All persons attending meetings at the Library are subject to the Public Behavior in the Library Policy.
• Authorization to use the Library's facilities does not reflect endorsement by the Library of any particular program, position, or purpose of any person or organization.
• Use of meeting rooms for library purposes takes precedence over all other uses.
• Exceptions to this policy may be made at the discretion of the Library Board of Trustees if deemed in the interest of the Library and the community.
