On June 19, the New York City Council approved and the Mayor signed the City's Fiscal Year 2010 Budget (July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2010). The budget includes a funding restoration to the City's three library systems of $46.5 million, which will allow BPL to continue to provide Brooklynites six-day library service at all locations, and to offer essential free programs and resources.
